Glazing Repairs

We can repair broken glass in many pieces of furniture from bookcases to grandfather clocks, often holding the replaced glass in place using linseed oil putty or wood beading for a traditional look.

Traditional panes of glass can be sourced for the repairs which contain small bubbles and imperfections, it is much better to use such glass in antique furniture as modern flat glass can look out of place in comparison to the surrounding panes.

Leaded glass can also be sympathetically repaired which involves slicing the lead strips to remove the broken pane before cutting a replacement piece and soldering the lead back in place.
